“Game Changer” is an eagerly anticipated Indian Telugu-language political action thriller directed by none other than S. Shankar and produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film boasts a stellar cast with Ram Charan taking on triple roles, alongside talented actors such as Kiara Advani, Anjali, S. J. Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, and Nassar.
Officially announced in February 2021 under the working title RC15, signifying Ram Charan’s 15th film as a lead actor, the project’s official title was revealed in March 2023. Principal photography commenced in October 2021 and is currently progressing in various locations including Hyderabad, New Zealand, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. The film features music by the acclaimed Thaman S, cinematography by Tirru, and editing by Shameer Muhammed.
Reports surfaced in early February 2021 of S. Shankar meeting Ram Charan and presenting a script for a historical drama, impressing the actor. The project was slated to be filmed simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, with a formal announcement made on Valentine’s Day. Ram Charan confirmed the collaboration through his social media platforms shortly after. The venture, financed by Dil Raju and Sirish’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, marked their inaugural partnership with Shankar and Charan. The project was publicly confirmed on February 12 under the working titles RC15 and SVC50. The official title, “Game Changer,” was unveiled on March 27, 2023, coinciding with Charan’s birthday. Shankar initially estimated the film’s production cost at ₹200 crore, but upon the producer’s request, the budget was reportedly trimmed down to ₹170 crore. However, with the resumption of production for “Indian 2,” challenges arose for “Game Changer,” leading to an alleged increase in budget to ₹450 crore to accommodate the completion of all film schedules.
